45th Annual Cave Spring Arts Festival 5K
Below, John Johnson — Race Director since its inception and local artist — presents one of his famous handmade pottery mugs to Jennifer Coleman (62) who won the 60-64 Age Division in 25:53. She is ALSO holding the trophy she earned back in 1983 from the Cave Spring 5K where she was 3rd overall then. She has not run a race in 24 years before today, but came back to Cave Spring to relive the old race, now in its 36th Annual running. John has been making handmade pottery plates, mugs, and medallions for decades for the award winner of this phenomenal race!! In the background is the 1810 Vann Cherokee House, where the race now officially finishes.
